Information Technology Directorate

The effective use of Information Technology (IT) is regarded as a central pillar for the advancement of knowledge and the improvement of the quality of higher education.

The Information Technology Directorate is one of the key and essential departments of Jawzjan University. It continuously works to provide Information Technology services to students, faculty members, and administrative staff, within the available resources and capabilities.

Vision

To equip Jawzjan University with Information Technology in order to improve and facilitate academic and administrative affairs with the highest quality, maximum accuracy, and minimum cost, and to transform the university into a technology-integrated environment in accordance with national standards.

Mission

To provide technology services, properly manage hardware and software resources, align academic and administrative capacities, facilitate teaching for faculty members, support students’ educational activities, and improve the university’s administrative affairs through the effective use of technology.

Functional Responsibilities

Currently, the Information Technology Directorate of Jawzjan University provides the following services to students, faculty members, and administrative staff:

Controlling and supervising technical operations, hardware, software, servers, and network infrastructure.
Providing Internet services to students, faculty members, and administrative staff.
Controlling, installing, monitoring, and maintaining security camera systems.
Troubleshooting software and hardware problems related to Information Technology equipment.
Creating official university email accounts with the Jawzjan University domain.
Managing and updating the university website in Persian, Pashto, and English.
Monitoring and maintaining computer laboratories.
Organizing video conferences with the Ministry of Higher Education and other institutions.
Developing, expanding, maintaining, and troubleshooting new and existing systems.
