Mufti Sayed Anwar Ul Haq Habibi

Mufti Sayed Anwarul Haq, son of Sayed Sarwar, was born in 1997 in the village of Gardan, Qoshtepa District, Jawzjan Province, into a devout, religious, and jihadist family. Mufti Syed Anwarul Haq Habibi began his primary education under the guidance of the Imam of his local mosque, where he studied religious subjects at the Darul Uloom Jalali in Gardan and pursued contemporary sciences at Amir Ali Shir Nawai High School.

After completing his elementary education at the aforementioned Darul Uloom, he traveled to Pakistan to further his religious studies and enhance his academic abilities. There, he continued his education in religious sciences at schools in Peshawar. After spending two years in Pakistan, he returned to his homeland and traveled to various provinces, including Jowzjan, Kunduz, Samangan, Baghlan, and others, to continue his studies.

During his time at school, Mufti Sayed Anwarul Haq witnessed oppression and tyranny, which stirred his faith and conscience to defend his homeland, national honor, and the oppressed against foreign occupiers led by the ruthless and criminal American forces in history and their domestic collaborators. He resolved to join the ranks of jihad alongside a few companions and his esteemed teacher, the distinguished and scholarly martyr Mawlawi Abdul Qudus Atai (may Allah accept his martyrdom).

Throughout his jihad and struggle, Mufti Sayed Anwarul Haq continued his studies. After several years, sometimes in the battlefield and sometimes in school, he traveled a second time to Quetta, Pakistan, where he studied at the Darul Uloom Jamia Miftah al-Uloom under the renowned scholar, servant of Islam and Sharia, Sheikh al-Hadith and Quran, Mawlana Sheikh Abdul Baqi (may Allah bless him). He completed his studies there and was honored with the turban of virtue and crown of dignity in the year 1440 AH, by the grace of Allah.

After acquiring both religious and contemporary knowledge, he dedicated himself to the noble people of his native village (Gardan), especially to the students of the school.

After completing his studies, he returned to Darul Uloom Jalali, which was undergoing revolutionary changes and spiritual turmoil. With the support of devout community members, elders, and compassionate scholars, under the management of the steadfast servant of the nation, the patient and enlightened personality (the martyr) Mawlawi Sanatullah (may Allah accept his martyrdom), he became active again. He served as a teacher and administrator of the aforementioned Darul Uloom for two years.

Subsequently, under the guidance of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, two scholars from each province, including Mufti Habibi, were sent for further specialization in fatwa and judiciary, and they traveled to Pakistan for the third time. After completing their specialized courses at the Jamia of Sayyidina Ibrahim al-Nakhai (may Allah have mercy on him) located in Quetta, the unprecedented blessing of the Islamic system—something no one had anticipated—emerged with the divine support that led to the end of the occupation and widespread victories in Afghanistan. Fortunately, following these blessed victories and according to the guidance of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the aforementioned community was transferred to Kandahar, Afghanistan. He ultimately completed his first year of studies there. Due to familial challenges and the distance from the aforementioned institution, he transferred to the community of Sayyidina Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) located at Kabul University, where he completed his second year of specialization in fatwa and judiciary in 1444 AH, achieving first place in the national examinations.

He is proficient in the national languages: Uzbek, Dari, and Pashto, as well as Urdu and Arabic.

Currently, Mufti Sayed Anwarul Haq Habibi is serving as the head of Jawzjan State University, as per the recommendations of the officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the directives of the Amir al-Mu'minin (may Allah protect him), fulfilling his responsibilities as a servant of the devout and proud people of this province. May Allah grant him success.
