ABOUT TAMANA SHAMSI:

Tamana Shamsi is a committed academic professional with a wealth of experience in teaching and research in civil engineering. With over 14 years of academic service at Jawzjan University, Tamana Shamsi is dedicated to fostering the intellectual growth and success of students. Tamana Shamsi’s educational journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Industrial Engineering from Balkh University in 2010. Tamana Shamsi advanced her expertise by earning a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Kabul Polytechnic University, Afghanistan, between 2013 and 2015. Currently, Tamana Shamsi is pursuing a PhD in Civil and Structural Engineering at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, Turkey.

Specializing in structural engineering, Tamana Shamsi focuses on cutting-edge topics such as bridge pier reinforcement under impact using Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP). Tamana Shamsi’s research combines innovation with practical application, contributing to advancements in structural integrity and safety.

Beyond teaching, Tamana Shamsi has made significant contributions to the academic community through research and publications, including one international paper and three papers in local journals. Tamana Shamsi’s dedication to excellence ensures staying at the forefront of developments in civil engineering, continually updating knowledge to inspire students and advance the field.
